Let us tell you about our passion.
Dana Baldwin
I’m doing what I LOVE and what I was created to do! Originally from New Orleans I traveled abroad at an early age and was exposed to the visual arts. My mother, a classically trained artist, took me to the world’s most famous museums where I was entranced by the ancient textiles. My creations are heavily influenced by the colors and patterns of Spain, Portugal and Northern Africa.
Professionally, I studied clinical nutrition at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and interned at Rochester Methodist Hospital (Mayo Medical Center). Working as a Registered Dietitian was nice but fiber art always had a pull. It was my comfort zone, my passion. Something I had to do. My work is motivated by my love of the imperfect. Conrad Hall said, “There is a kind of beauty in imperfection” and I agree. I approach my work in fiber as a sculptor with a block of marble. I see ‘something’ in those fibers and I have to set it free.

Ancient cultures, science, and nature inspire me—my art lives or come from the Earth. Although I am a Central Illinois native, I have lived in Indiana, Texas, and Scotland. I received my PhD from the University of Edinburgh—I work with ancient religious manuscripts using statistical analysis to see how they have changed over time. Locally, I teach glass, informatics, glass... and more.
I first began working with glass at the age of seven. My family restored damaged leaded glass pieces... and I quickly learned the craft. My research and my travel constantly inspire me to create. My work: Stained glass sculptures that incorporate living plants, jewellery that celebrates the diversity of natural life encased within glass and minerals, stained glass restoration and commissions, and fused glass.
I am an advocate for the arts in Central Illinois. I currently sit on the board of ArtsPartners of Central Illinois and am a member of the Sculpture Walk Peoria and ArtPop Peoria committees.
Bill Muzzarelli
Bill Muzzarelli (“Muzzy”) has developed a unique style of drawing called “Muzzy Marvels”. His bold and geometric shapes result in an amazing array of animals that resemble fish, birds, and other never-before-seen creatures. They are thought provoking, colorful, and will bring a smile to your face! Muzzy began drawing airplanes as a boy and honed his skills to become an accomplished painter, illustrator, writer, poet, and musician.
Bill has a degree in history from Bradley University and was MVP for Bradley Baseball. He has worked in various fields but always comes back to his passion of creating. Presently, he is focusing on greeting cards, posters, and his very popular adult coloring books. He and his lovely wife have 2 adult children, a Saint Bernard, and a cat.
Judy Quinn
In addition to loving teals, blues, parsley, calla lilies, and her husband—she loves to create. Whether it's lively container designs or custom window displays, the creative process is part of her every day life.
Her educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising and Art, She also holds a Master's degree in Dietetics. Professionally, she worked as a registered dietitian in Chicago for twelve years and later moved into healthcare sales. During that time, however, she always had her hands in other projects that allowed for a creative outlet. She had the pleasure of theme decorating for events and holidays throughout Chicago. Additionally, she was fortunate enough to install custom container designs for personal and business clients. The latter was very rewarding—it came naturally to this "Flower Girl."
Since moving to Bloomington, IL, she am now honored to be part of The Sheared Edge. She enjoys installing the windows each month and has plans to offer a line of beach glass jewelry.
As she puts it, "My work is something that is not like work to me."
